Bright Transitional Kitchen

This stunning kitchen remodel was a transformative project that opened the once-closed space to the dining and living rooms, creating a bright, connected hub for daily life and entertaining. Cabinet storage was significantly expanded, blending thoughtful function with the client’s vision for a modern yet eclectic aesthetic built to last.

The remodel came with its fair share of challenges—including the late-stage addition of columns flanking the island to accommodate existing electrical and a vent stack. To maintain the clean, streamlined look the homeowners envisioned, custom oversized doors were installed on the end cabinets to conceal extended stiles, allowing for seating on each end of the island without sacrificing design integrity. A stained red oak panel adds durability and warmth to the back of the island, offering a rich contrast to the surrounding white cabinetry and tying the space together with subtle sophistication.
