New Possibilities
Having recently retired from a successful culinary career and relocated across the country, the homeowners discovered a home they adored but with a kitchen that didn’t meet their desires. Longing for a spacious and open layout conducive to both efficient meal prep and entertaining, the original kitchen presented a segmented design with a separate food prep area and a disconnected dining room.
Driven by the homeowner’s vision, walls were dismantled, and the kitchen underwent a complete reconfiguration. The revamped space showcases light-painted cabinets paired with dark granite countertops, creating a chic contrast. The island, a focal point of the kitchen, adopts an inverted color scheme with dark cabinetry and a light-colored countertop. The incorporation of blues in the island granite beautifully complements the varied blue tones in the tile backsplash, bringing the owner’s culinary dreams to life in a harmonious and stylish kitchen.
