To add warmth and character, the ceiling was transformed with crisp white shiplap and accented by rich wood beams, perfectly complemented by natural wood flooring below. The design journey truly began with the showstopping island, topped with a striking slab of Azure quartzite. With blue as the homeowner’s favorite color, this bold centerpiece anchors the space and ensures a seamless backdrop for changing décor and collected pottery from travels near and far.

Cabinetry pairs beautifully balanced finishes, combining the warmth of Sable on quartersawn oak with the softness of White Dove paint. This mix creates depth while maintaining a light, welcoming feel throughout the kitchen.

Function was equally prioritized at every turn. The range wall is flanked with specialized storage, including utensil and knife pull-outs, while the island offers deep drawers for pots and pans, a trash roll-out, and convenient storage solutions. A hidden walk-through pantry adds generous storage without sacrificing style. The coffee bar, complete with retractable doors and a base pantry below, creates a dedicated zone for daily rituals, while a nearby trash pull-out keeps cleanup effortless.

To finish the space, open shelving on the island provides the perfect place to display treasured finds, making this kitchen not just a place to cook, but a space that tells a story.
